About the P&C

Yarralumla P&C is an active parent body within Yarralumla Primary School (YPS). It meets once a term (usually week 3) and is crucial in supporting the school both financially and socially via a variety of events. It operates two school enterprises, the canteen and the uniform shop. It also runs a Fundraising Committee and other subcommittees as required.

All YPS families are encouraged to participate in our diverse, vibrant and energetic community. For more information please contact the P&C Executive at president@ypspandc.com.

What’s News
  • Mother’s Day Stall – Friday, May 12 – we will require some Dads and Grandfathers to help out on the stall.
  • Father’s Day Stall – Friday, September 1 – we will require Mums and Grandmothers to help out on the stall.
  • Festa Italiana in the Embassy Gardens – Sunday, October 15 from 11am – 4pm
  • YPS 60th Anniversary Fete – Sunday, November 5
  • School Disco – Date to be advised

P&C Meetings

Next Meeting: Wednesday 21 June 2017. 7pm, School Staff Room

Parents and the local community are invited to attend P&C meetings. Meetings are held in the school staff room, usually in Week 3 of each term, with motions and agendas being advertised via the school newsletter. Meetings usually start around 7pm and aim to be finished within 2 hours. Meetings are a way to hear what is happening at the school directly from the Principal and the School Board and an opportunity to raise any concerns or suggestions.
