Festa Italiana

P&C Fundraising – Festa Italiana
at the Embassy Gardens 2015
Yarralumla PS new logo

We were blessed with perfect weather and it was a truly awesome occasion to see thousands of people streaming into the Embassy Gardens last Sunday. The quality of the food, the music, the sound of the Italian language and Italian culture on show created a wonderful atmosphere and exceeded everybody’s expectations. The Festa Italiana organising committee would like to thank and acknowledge the enormous effort and enthusiasm shown by the Yarralumla Primary School community. There were so many volunteers willing to go above and beyond to help make it the enormous success it was. Our Degustation Stall and the Biscotti Stall raised significant funds to be donated back into our school.

Thanks to everyone from our school community who volunteered over the weekend, it could not have happened without you all. Thanks also to the little helpers with beautiful manners and big smiles… our students. It would also be remiss of us not to acknowledge the incredible generosity of the Canberra business community who donated between $4,000 and $5,000 worth of produce to our stalls.

The donors were: Bertocchi Smallgoods, Dominic de Marco, Dom’s Bread, Pasticceria Via Dolce, Farm Fresh Fyshwick Markets, Anna Capezio, Tony Caggiano, Ross Di Bartolo, Supabarn Civic, Empire Management Services, Balzanelli Smallgoods, Woolworths Dickson and Coles Woden.

Thanks again….more hands did make light work!I
